1. How do I find out about WVWD job openings?

The WVWD advertises job openings in one or more of the following sources:

• Our website
• Career Builder
• The Daily Bulletin and The Sun newspapers

2. How often are job openings advertised?

Job openings are advertised as positions become available.

3. Do you accept applications when there are no job openings?

The WVWD does not accept job applications if no positions are available.

4. Where can I obtain a job application?

If a job is available, an application can be obtained at the District office located at:

Rialto, CA 92376

Or an electronic application would be available under the employment tab

5. Are resumes accepted in lieu of an application?

No, but a resume can be attached to the employmnent application

6. How do I submit an application?

If a job is available, a completed application must be received by the closing date and time listed in the job flier at:

Rialto, CA 92376

Applications postmarked after the filing deadline will not be accepted.

7. Should I attach copies of applicable certifications?

You can attach job-related certifications to your employment application.

8. Do you require a DMV printout?

Yes, a DMV printout would be required when position is filled.

9. Will I be notified regarding the status of my application?

All applicants that submit an application to the Human Resources Department will be notified by mail or by phone about the status of their application.

10. How long do you keep an application on file?

Once a job closes and the position is filled, the applications are no longer kept on file.

11. How long does the hiring process take?

The hiring process could take four to 10 weeks. The length of time varies depending on the position that it is available at the time.

12. Is a separate application required for each open position?

Yes, a separate application is required for each open position.

13. Do WVWD employees belong to unions or employee associations?

No. However, there are open discussions between management and employees about pay and benefits at least once a year.
