Mascot Naming Contest

West Valley Water District Mascot Naming Contest

West Valley Water District is introducing its new water drop mascots on Earth Day and Open House Celebration on April 20, 2024.

As part of our commitment to education and community outreach, the new mascots will be incorporated into the districts outreach materials, to promote long life water saving habits to school aged children.

To mark this special occasion, West Valley Water District is asking local elementary school classrooms to give the new mascots a name!

Guidelines:

  • Attend a school in the West Valley Water District service area.

Participants must:

  • Each inquiry should include a potential name for the mascots and a reason why this name would be a perfect fit.
  • Submit Name, Teacher and School.
  • Deadline February 26, 2024. All entries must be submitted to: social@wvwd.org or Mascot submission form.

Tips on Names:

  • Make it catchy!
  • How does this name encourage long life water saving habits?

Judging:

The top 5 names chosen by our WVWD panel of judges will be declared finalists.

Names will be shared with the WVWD Board of Directors on March 7, 2024 for consideration.

Winners and Prizes

The winner and their participating classroom will be scheduled to have a VIP meet and greet with our new mascot and a special treat!
