Working With Us

Thanks for your interest in doing business with us. You should know that WVWD works with many suppliers and contractors who are just as committed to providing a reliable, high-quality water supply as we are.

It’s All Here

To make things easier, we’ve tried to put all the info you need right at your fingertips. The following will help you better understand our procurement and RFP processes.

RFPs & Contracts

The West Valley Water District (WVWD) implemented Planet Bids, a fully automated web-based vendor and bid management system.

This system will make doing business with WVWD easier by providing vendors up-to-date information regarding bid requests.

Some of the key features and benefits of Planet Bids include the ability to:

  • Maintain your own profile as a new or existing vendor
  • Receive automatic e-mail notifications for selected bid opportunities based on product/service categories
  • Search for all types of requests, addenda, plan holders, bid results, and contract awards at any time.
  • Request and download bid document(s) when available
  • Receive automatic addendum notification as a bid participant.
  • Submit electronic bidding in some cases, allowing bid responses to be securely submitted on-line.

WVWD conducts most of its bid and proposal solicitations online through the system. Vendors must register by proceeding as follows:

  • Visit Planet Bids
  • Click on “New Vendor Registration”
  • Complete the form by navigating through the different tabs and submit.
  • Once registered, you are able to begin utilizing the full benefits of the system and maintain your profile at any time by revisiting the same site above.

e-Procurement System

Our e-Procurement system is a fully automated web-based vendor registration and bid management system called Planet Bids. All formal District solicitations will be conducted through the new online system hosted by PlanetBids System.

To begin the process, please register here

Both formal and informal solicitations may be processed through our online system. All responses are due at or before the time shown on each solicitation. Late responses cannot be accepted. It is the bidder’s/proposer’s responsibility to ensure that the most complete and current version of the solicitation, including addenda, has been downloaded.

Please note: Contractors/Vendors are solely responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate information. Vendors may edit their profile at any time.

We have made every effort to make all aspects of the contracting process as easy, secure and reliable as possible. However, if you need help or have questions concerning the features available to our bidders on this section, please click on Need Help? for online assistance. Contractors/Vendors are solely responsible for contacting PlanetBids directly for technical assistance.

Note: In order to access the BidsOnline system, you must install Adobe Flash Player 10.1 or higher. Click here to download and install the latest Adobe Flash Player.
